How many visits will it take to
reduce Pain?
Some people experience almost immediate relief.
Others find it can take many visits. Different
factors can influence the healing process. The
length of time you have had your problem? How
often do you have appointments? Do you get
proper rest, exercise and nutrition? Do you
smoke? Most patiants cansee results in a
reasonable amount of time to justify our
recomendations.
What about people that only need one
visit?
There is a few instances in were a single visit
can produce the pain relieving results a patient
is looking for. Although, the results are
normaly short term. It takes several visits to
retrain muscles and soft tissues to stay in
place. Patiants that wait until they are adults
often have considerable structural and
functional damage. A single “wonder” adjustment
hardly ever produce lasting change
.
Why not just take some pain
relievers?
We do not prescribe drugs of any kind. Pain
relievers and most common over-the-counter pain
medications fall short on two counts. They do
not fix the core cause of your problem. Almost
all drugs create side effects, which can lead to
unhealthy results.
If I'm pregnant can I visit the
Chiropractor?
Mothers who are adjusted during pregancy seem to
require less intervention. Chiropractic care can
aid you and your baby in achieving a healthier
pregnancy and delivery. The health benefits of
chiropractic care for pregnant women have been
demonstrated in many clinical studies. One of
the studies, conducted by Irvin Henderson, M.D.,
a member of the American Medical Association
board of trustees, it was shown that women who
received chiropractic adjustments in their third
trimester of pregnancy were able to carry and
deliver children with more comfort. In another,
well-known orthopedist Per Freitag, M.D.
conducted a hospital study that incorporated
chiropractic adjustments during the patient’s
pregnancy. It was found that the need for
painkillers during delivery was reduced by half.
